Carly Furlong will be presenting her research on auditory training and speech learning in noise at two upcoming events. She will showcase her work at the Frontiers Exhibition and LangFest on April 17th, followed by a presentation at the Connecticut Speech and Hearing Association (CSHA) Conference on April 24th. Her study explores how targeted auditory training can enhance speech sound discrimination in challenging listening environments—an area with promising implications for individuals with speech sound disorders.

Carly has been awarded the IBACS Undergraduate Research Supply Award from the Institute for the Brain and Cognitive Sciences to fund our project on speech, learning, and noise.

Dr. Akshay Maggu has been awarded the Investigator Research Grant by the American Academy of Audiology Foundation to develop remote screening solutions for auditory processing disorders
